Who Am I

I’m Zavier Basnight, a cybersecurity enthusiast with hands-on experience in systems administration, automation, and network infrastructure. During my time supporting enterprise environments at Old Dominion University, I’ve worked across both Linux and Windows ecosystems, managing Active Directory, DNS, and troubleshooting system and network issues to ensure reliability and uptime.

I enjoy building efficient, scalable, and secure solutions. From configuring lab environments with Proxmox to automating server provisioning and maintaining detailed technical documentation in GitLab, I focus on creating systems that are resilient, consistent, and easy to manage.

I also leverage AWS to explore cloud environments, deploy infrastructure using tools like Terraform and Ansible, and strengthen my technical skills for security-focused projects. Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, I’m continuously expanding my knowledge in both cloud and security domains.
